Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and maintain the High-Level Software Validation Cycle plan, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
    • Lead the gathering of product requirements and project scope across multiple teams or business functions.
    • Monitor progress against the plan and design a recovery strategy if the project deviates from the baseline plan.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Prepare and publish effective status reports for various audiences, from project team members to executives.
    • Design and deliver executive-level presentations to support the governance process for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
  • Collaboration and Leadership
    • Facilitate program-level meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts.
    • Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to support process, policy, and tool-set improvements.
    • Collaborate with peers, managers, and team members across the organization to solve problems, develop plans, and coordinate work.
  • Agile Transformation and Change Management
    • Play a key role in the organization's Agile transformation, acting as a change agent and demonstrating strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude.
Preferred Skills
  • Effective communication across written, verbal, and presentation formats to various audiences.
  • Ability to develop schedules using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Design and document a project charter that includes scope, schedule, budget, and risk management plan.
  • Apply critical thinking techniques to analyze problems, develop solutions, build resource forecasts, or manage risk.
  • Manage projects that may comprise both software and hardware using Waterfall or Agile methods.
  • Lead the gathering of product requirements and project scope across a multi-function team.
  • Lead through influence to drive forward both the team and program.
  • Manage and facilitate team meetings and initiatives to effectively develop plans and achieve goals.
  • Strong working knowledge of technology companies or domains and the interplay between Marketing, Product Development, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Sales, and Professional Services.
  • Update, track, and communicate the status of initiatives and monitor timing of release milestones.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience (6+ years with Master's Degree) managing projects at technology-based companies or technical domains.
  • Desired PMP certification with accompanying experience managing projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Desired Agile scrum master certification.
  • Desired dSpace Hardware/Software experience.
  • Experience managing a geo-dispersed project team.
  • Experience working in a concurrent software development environment as part of a complex build and merge management process.
  • Technology product development experience is highly desired.
  • 2+ years SAFe/Agile/Lean experience preferred.
Education
  • BSEE, BSCS, or other Engineering Technology collegiate degree.
