Job Description

Couturier Iron Craft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to oversee the construction and installation of our architectural metal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Responsible for successfully managing the activities associated with the construction and installation of our architectural metal projects.
  • Project Coordination: Responsible for reviewing the project in-depth to schedule and oversee the fabrication and installation of our work.
  • Team Management: Responsible for coordinating field workers and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
  • Materials and Equipment Coordination: Responsible for coordinating materials and equipment for installation.
  • Communication: Responsible for reading, understanding and communicating structural, architectural and shop drawings with others.
  • Project Measurements: Responsible for project field measurements and verification of such measurements.
  • Project Changes and Documentation: Manage project changes, document submittals, and RFI's.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of computers for: Excel spreadsheets, E-mail and Internet.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven past working experience in miscellaneous and decorative metals for the construction of buildings.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Building Codes and Standards: Knowledge of building codes and standards of misc. metals, stairs & railings.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, general contractors, shop & field team members.
  • Quality, Safety and Productivity: Ability to meet quality, safety and productivity requirements.
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year as Project Lead in the field of metal work for construction of buildings.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel in the Central United States on occasion.
  • Mathematical Skills: Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications.
Work Environment:

This position works in both an office setting and in the field on our job sites. While working in the field you will be exposed to moderately loud noises, working in and around moving equipment, at varying heights and possible hazardous construction site conditions.
