Position Overview:

The role involves spearheading the initiation of new vehicle and powertrain projects within North American manufacturing facilities. The incumbent will oversee the comprehensive management and successful delivery of innovative vehicle programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the launch of new vehicle initiatives in assembly operations.
  • Ensure effective program management and timely delivery of new automotive projects.
  • Address issues, conduct quality assessments, and manage vehicle fleets and associated budgets.
  • Oversee the transition of launch teams to the manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate Pre-Production Build Events.
  • Supervise the ordering, assembly, testing, and final disposition of vehicles.
  • Administer the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan.
  • Act as the primary gatekeeper for new model initiatives.
  • Lead the resolution of build-related challenges for the cross-functional program team.
  • Co-Chair meetings to address part support issues for each pre-production build.
  • Present to senior management and champion program updates.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly assessment reports on new model programs.
  • Manage the approval of launch budgets and execute components governed by new model programs within the allocated budget.
  • This position requires extensive travel (up to 9-12 months) to support manufacturing plants during program launches.
Required Skills:
  • Expertise in managing the transition of launch teams to manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficient in leading the build issue resolution process for cross-functional teams.
  • Strong program management capabilities.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
