Join QTS Realty Trust, Inc. as a Solutions Engineer for our Hyperscale sales team

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to join our Hyperscale sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for determining customer requirements during the evaluation stage of the sales process and providing technical solutions. You will also be the primary technical resource for sales and operations, working closely with internal teams to assemble and present technical, contractual, and service order information to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design complex hosting solutions and corresponding services, working with sales personnel in response to customer needs with minimal supervision.
  • Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
  • Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs.
Requirements:
  • Four or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on managed services and custom designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience.
  • Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in hyperscale colocation design is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives).
