We are in search of highly skilled and motivated Systems Architects to join Zayo in the vibrant and rapidly evolving communications sector. As a Systems Architect, you will be instrumental in spearheading innovative and robust enterprise technology solutions that facilitate our business transformation strategy. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of communication networks, services, and platforms while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all business services and their interactions with corresponding systems and applications.
- Develop Architectural Models for systems, focusing on the technology, organization, and processes that enable the system.
  • Craft detailed, dynamic architecture roadmaps for each business system.
  • Provide project recommendations to enhance high-priority services.
  • Collaborate with business service owners and architects to understand the impact of new initiatives on existing systems, processes, personnel, technology, and ongoing projects.
  • Identify potential risks that may affect system architecture and initiatives.
  • Evaluate the feasibility and viability of initiatives by assessing their impact on business services, technology, and application landscape using existing Enterprise Architecture models.
  • Develop high-level use cases for further detailing by business architects or product managers.
  • Create comprehensive plans that address architecture-level design aspects of initiative implementation to guide scrum teams.
  • Model integration architecture to ensure scalability and adaptability to future changes in business processes or technology.
  • Support the implementation team by clarifying architectural considerations of the initiative.
  • Assist in managing impacts and scope changes identified during the implementation phase.
  • Revise architectural documentation to reflect any drift or scope changes during implementation.
  • Identify and document both functional and non-functional requirements essential for the initiative.
  • Ensure alignment of implementation partners with the architectural strategy.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, data architects, security architects, and other domain architects to ensure adherence to technology policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with seven (7) years of relevant experience in architecting and designing large enterprise application solutions; or eleven (11) years of direct related experience with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with TMForum OpenAPI and SID is essential.
  • Experience in the communications industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with an architecture framework, preferably TOGAF.
  • Experience working with TMForum architecture in the communications sector.
  • Thorough understanding of the full application development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to elicit business requirements, model processes, and deliver architectural solutions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with architecture applications and modeling tools such as Archimate, LeanIX, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of master data management processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of APIs, microservice architectures, and common data models.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS S3 and other cloud data technologies.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary Range: $136,900 - $175,000, commensurate with experience.
