We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of an Entry-Level Preconstruction Engineer specializing in solar energy. In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preconstruction phase of solar energy initiatives, collaborating closely with project managers, solar engineers, and various stakeholders to ensure effective planning and execution of solar projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation of project specifications, requirements, and site conditions for solar energy initiatives.
  • Work alongside solar engineers and designers to create preliminary layouts and configurations for solar energy systems.
  • Analyze project feasibility, taking into account site conditions, shading assessments, and environmental factors.
  • Support the creation of comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for solar energy projects, covering components such as solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and balance of system elements.
  • Utilize solar energy modeling software and tools to enhance system performance and energy production forecasts.
  • Assist in the assessment and selection of solar equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Contribute to the development of project schedules and timelines, coordinating efforts with internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in discussions with clients, regulatory bodies, and project collaborators to gather requirements and address technical issues.
  • Help prepare proposals, bid documents, and presentations for solar energy projects.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in solar energy and renewable energy development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope, or other solar energy modeling software is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and principles, including photovoltaic technology and solar energy conversion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Internship or prior experience in solar energy, renewable energy, or a construction-related field is advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions.
