**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Chicago ENT. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, coordinating check-in and check-out, and ensuring all follow-up care is scheduled before patients exit our office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration and Scheduling: Register and schedule patients for a range of ENT, Sleep, Imaging, Cosmetic, Allergy, Audiology, Oral Appliance, and Post-Operative appointments.
- Data Entry and Verification: Ensure accurate and timely data entry of patient information, including insurance verification through our EMR system.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with group administrative tasks, including sorting faxes, verifying virtually scheduled appointments, and responding to voicemail messages and Glacial inquiries.
- Patient Care Coordination: Provide knowledgeable responses to patients, patient family members, providers, and Chicago ENT team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as individually assigned by the Scheduling Lead.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work within an EMR database and navigate through a Windows environment required.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute with 90% or greater accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience as a healthcare call center representative, patient access representative, patient service representative, medical scheduler, medical assistant, or medical receptionist.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in a Sleep or ENT Specialist Office.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
