Role Overview
This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in accounting, particularly in revenue recognition within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will engage in various responsibilities throughout the quote-to-cash process.

Reporting Structure
The Senior Revenue Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting, providing an exciting opportunity for career advancement in a rapidly growing private equity-owned SaaS organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute significantly to the period-end closing process, with a focus on accounts receivable and revenue management.
- Prepare and analyze journal entries in compliance with US GAAP, including deferred and accrued revenue postings.
- Maintain reconciliations for accounts related to accounts receivable, contract assets/liabilities, and deferred revenues, ensuring compliance with closing timelines.
- Analyze complex customer contracts to ascertain appropriate revenue recognition in line with ASC 606.
- Assist in conducting periodic Standalone Selling Price (SSP) analyses.
- Perform technical accounting research and maintain documentation to support revenue recognition conclusions.
- Collaborate with the cash application team to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the integrity of the Accounts Receivable subledger, including aging buckets.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as billing/accounts receivable, sales, and operations to optimize revenue recognition and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance internal controls and compliance.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in revenue recognition within a SaaS or technology firm.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles under US GAAP.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is advantageous.
