Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist III to join our team at King County. This role will be responsible for scheduling first appearance court calendars for both the Maleng Regional Justice Center and the King County Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare court calendars through computer data entry
  • Train employees and new hires in the preparation of court calendars
  • Perform lead clerical tasks, data entry, filing, and office support
  • Deliver daily documents to other county buildings as needed
  • Assist the program supervisor with various tasks as needed
  • Process payroll documents for section staff and maintain the Roster Management Payroll System for the section
  • Provide focused administrative support to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of full-time clerical experience, including complex administrative functions, and one year performing high-volume customer service
  • Experience maintaining and tracking data, designing and maintaining data sources
  • Intermediate working knowledge of O365 Excel, Word, Outlook, and scheduling software
  • Deep knowledge of office practices and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of Jail Management System (JMS) and Roster Management System (RMS)
  • Experience within the criminal justice system, coupled with County or State government experience
