Position OverviewWe are in search of a skilled and experienced Director of Medical Operations to lead our patient access initiatives within our healthcare organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency and optimizing patient access across our medical service lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies and procedures aimed at enhancing workflows and improving the patient experience.
- Oversee the performance management of patient access staff, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establish site-specific goals for productivity, efficiency, and patient satisfaction using performance metrics.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure patient access policies are equitable and responsive to patient needs.
- Refine clinical schedules in partnership with site and nursing leadership to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports to provide insights and recommendations for organizational productivity improvements.
- Foster strong relationships between clinical and administrative teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Implement technology solutions as an Epic Super User to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards regarding patient access and data security.
- Act as a mentor and resource for direct reports, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient access management.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, particularly in patient access management. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills- Proven ability to implement process improvements to enhance access and streamline workflows.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Proficiency in healthcare information systems, with Epic experience preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to patient access.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, aligned with FHCHC's vision and values.
This position typically operates in an office environment with minimal exposure to health risks. The role requires physical activities such as walking, bending, and data entry, along with the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic setting.
