Compensation: $19.21 per hour

Core Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to welcome and assist travelers in navigating the airport environment. Responsibilities include directing passengers to taxicabs and other transportation options, ensuring a seamless experience for all.


Key Duties

  • Welcome travelers at the designated transportation area and provide accurate assistance and directions.
  • Guide passengers to the correct taxi or limousine services.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of taxicabs is available for incoming passengers and manage their dispatch to various locations.
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, colleagues, and supervisors to address any operational concerns.
  • Document any incidents or irregularities in operational reports.
  • Request luxury limousine services as needed and maintain accurate logs of such requests.
  • Identify and report safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including routine cleaning tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring.
  • Familiarity with the local metropolitan area is advantageous.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an airport setting is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality, with reliable transportation.

Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on the needs of the location. Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends may be necessary.

Licensing: A valid state-issued driver's license is required, along with a clean driving record, if driving a company vehicle is part of the job responsibilities.

Language Proficiency: Exceptional reading and writing skills in English are required. The ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, and colleagues across various socio-economic backgrounds is essential.

Mathematical Skills: Basic addition and subtraction skills are necessary.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats. Sound judgment and the ability to educate others about policies and procedures are important.

Additional Skills: Capability to complete assigned tasks independently and effectively, demonstrating fair and impartial judgment.

Equipment Used: This role involves the use of two-way radios, various reporting forms, information logs, and writing instruments.

Physical Requirements: The position requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for communication. Employees will work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must be safety-conscious at all times. The role may involve lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs and exposure to high noise levels.
