POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Maintenance Specialist will oversee maintenance customer support, inventory management, and administrative functions within the branch that enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and communication to both internal and external stakeholders. The Operations Maintenance Specialist will assist the branch financial manager by providing insights and information that contribute to the overall performance and profitability of the branch.

Work Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday, 11-7:30.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service Support

  • Manage the Service Net Planner with preventive maintenance campaigns, repairs from various service requests, and schedule vendor work.
  • Collaborate with Centralized PM Scheduling Operations and Outside RO Management teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Welcome customers at the service location and provide quality assistance via phone. Address customer inquiries related to billing and scheduling.

Inventory Management

  • Ensure comprehensive oversight of inventory management at the branch for timely service delivery while minimizing the risk of inventory loss.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by ordering parts according to established procedures, ensuring suppliers deliver quality products on time.
  • Organize and store parts in an accessible manner, ensuring timely updates to inventory systems and conducting regular inventory counts.
  • Manage battery inventory and ensure tire stock is maintained in appropriate quantities and specifications.
  • Coordinate the shipping and receipt of warranty items, ensuring timely follow-up on returns and warranty claims.

Process Improvement

  • Conduct analyses and reviews in areas such as inventory management, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, and other operational metrics. Identify and recommend solutions to enhance profitability.
  • Utilize systems such as ServiceNet or AS400 for operational analysis and process enhancement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Undertake projects and tasks as assigned by the Branch Financial Manager and District Financial Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service and operations required.
  • Preferred experience in service and parts departments.
  • Quick learner with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this role.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and complete all required employment processes.
