Sr. Imaging Service Specialist

Job Description:

The Senior Imaging Service Specialist (SISS) is responsible for performing and documenting planned maintenance and repair of medical diagnostic imaging equipment and associated systems. This role requires a highly advanced knowledge and ability to use required test equipment, as well as electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills.

The SISS must possess the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics, and other applicable service information to perform and document planned maintenance and repair of the diagnostic imaging equipment and systems.

This role also requires advanced organizational skills, effective communication, mentorship of developing technical staff, interpersonal, and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with company personnel and clinical staff in accordance with established Renovo operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently performs general troubleshooting and repairs to the block circuit and component level, as well as installations, calibrations, and planned maintenance.
  • Properly uses all standard test equipment, including multimeter, oscilloscope, dosimeter, AC line analyzer, invasive and non-invasive imaging test devices, service software and keys, hand and power tools, phantoms.
  • Reads, analyzes, interprets, and follows signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, exercising good system troubleshooting skills.
  • Understands basic aspects of clinical applications and image quality requirements related to medical imaging equipment.
  • Performs and is available for after-hours service, as well as emergency calls on weekends.
  • May be required to participate in shift scheduling and reasonable travel.
  • Serves as a mentor to developing imaging and technical team members.
  • Service manages original equipment manufacturer-mandated equipment updates/upgrades and satisfactorily completes the required recordings of all work performed in RENOVO's CMMS.
