Position Overview:
We are seeking a proficient Mammography Technician to become an integral part of our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying abnormalities in breast tissue via imaging techniques and contributing to the diagnostic process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identity and assess imaging requests.
- Provide clear explanations of imaging procedures and address patient inquiries to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Perform mammography examinations, calibrate equipment, and guarantee high-quality imaging results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mammography machinery.
- Ensure that supplies are adequately stocked and uphold a safe working environment.
- Accurately document patient services rendered.
- Engage in continuous training and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct Quality Assurance assessments on equipment to ensure patient safety.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid State License and ARRT certification.
- Specialized training in mammography techniques.
- Ongoing education and practical experience in the field of mammography.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in operating computer systems.
- Empathetic demeanor, effective communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform heavy lifting, potentially up to 100 lbs. Must be capable of moving freely within the work environment.
Work Setting:
- Medical office environment with moderate noise levels.
