Senior Patient Access Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Senior Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you will be responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity / compliance checks, and provide proper patient instructions.
- Collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize a overlay tool while providing excellent customer service.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, out-going and inter-office calls as applicable.
- Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurate, timely to meet audit standards.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms to the patient/guarantor/legal guardian, obtain necessary signatures and witnesses name.
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and appropriately select the applicable insurance plan code.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) and or CRCR, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
- 2-3 years of experience in patient access or leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
- Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements and medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes.
