Job Summary

SuiteSpot Executive Search, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess a paralegal certificate, at least two years of experience, and a thorough understanding of probate and trust law as well as litigation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex litigation cases, assisting attorneys with case preparation from inception through trial.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, current and updated in case management databases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents as directed by attorneys.
  • Prepare and file petitions for probate, administration, and guardianship.
  • Conduct legal research and gather, organize and evaluate evidence relevant to cases.
  • Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including interrogatories, depositions, and document production.
  • Summarize depositions, discovery responses, and other key documents.
  • Communicate frequently with clients to gather necessary information and documentation, provide updates, and assist clients with the completion of forms and questionnaires.
  • Assist with trial preparation, organize and manage trial exhibits, documents, evidence, and create trial binders.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, coordinating meetings, court appearances and depositions and monitoring deadlines for filings, etc.
  • Remain current with changes in probate, estate and trust laws and best practices.
Requirements
  • Paralegal certificate and at least two years of experience.
  • Thorough understanding of probate and trust law as well as litigation procedures.
  • Excellent client-service attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Energy, motivation, and organizational skills, enabling them to effectively guide, lead, and remind the supervising attorney.
  • Demonstration of intellectual curiosity with a willingness to learn quickly and adapt efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of ethical judgment, integrity and responsibility in handling clients' sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and professional partners.
  • Strong legal research, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet internal and external deadlines, and to work effectively independently or in a team environment with all personnel levels within the Firm.
  • Commitment and ability to support senior attorneys to best serve client needs and drive business development.
