Job Overview

Schultz & Pogue, LLP seeks a highly skilled medical malpractice litigation paralegal to join its defense team in Indianapolis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with experience in reviewing medical records and preparing chronologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage medical review panel process
  • Manage electronic and paper files, including client documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and panel submissions
  • Assist with electronic case filing in state and federal courts
  • Draft appearances, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Assist with trial, hearing, and deposition prep

This is an on-site position, Monday – Friday.

Competitive salary based on experience, with a full benefits package including PTO days, health insurance, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, and a 401k.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree in paralegal studies, or paralegal certificate
  • Dedicated experience as a paralegal in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of applicable statutes, regulations, and court procedures
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion in dealing with sensitive information
