Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Event Host and Beverage Connoisseur to join our team at District Winery. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role

As an Event Host and Beverage Connoisseur, you will be responsible for providing positive guest interactions while serving guests in a professional, friendly, efficient manner. You will work closely with colleagues and kitchen and bar staff to ensure our customers have exceptional dining experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance of the restaurant
  • Assisting guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu items and offering recommendations
  • Having an expert understanding of the event's offerings, ingredients, preparation techniques, and available substitutions
  • Having an expert understanding of the event wines
  • Identifying special dietary needs and allergies and communicating with captains and staff
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also have knowledge of wine and the ability to provide expert recommendations to guests. Additionally, you should be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to established health and safety standards.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
