About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Wine Connoisseur to join our team at Officina - Wharf DC as a Sommelier. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a renowned culinary collective and contribute to the success of our Italian-inspired restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist the entire front of the house team with all aspects of service.
  • Work closely with the beverage director to recommend and navigate an extensive wine list.
  • Assist with monthly inventory, daily ordering, restocking, and organizing the wine cellar.
  • Promote and execute monthly wine dinners and educational events for the public.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality service.
  • Court of Master Sommeliers' Certification or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of Italian wines and regions.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, and POS system(s).
