We are seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist Senior to join our team at the Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet. As a key member of our division, you will provide professional support to the division head office in developing, implementing, and maintaining various complex programs, projects, and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize incoming assignments and assist with scheduling appointments and meetings using electronic calendars.
  • Serve as Time Administrator for the branch, providing oversight for KHRIS entries, time codes, and leave balances.
  • Handle purchasing of equipment and supplies, and recommend policies and determinations on fiscal, personnel, and budgetary matters for the branch.
  • Record and complete intake forms on all complaints and assign to appropriate scientists.
  • Prepare travel and training requests for in-state travel vouchers, and coordinate the transfer of vehicle logs with branch staff.
  • Maintain various databases and Excel spreadsheets for construction projects, and update eComm databases, initiate, and complete CB1 forms.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS.
