Job Summary

Boston Government Services, LLC. is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support our clients in Oak Ridge, TN. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in preparing and processing records for conversion to an electronic format.

This is a full-time support position to the Documents & Records Management organization, specifically the Records Management department. You will work closely with Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC. (CNS) Records Operations Staff to ensure the timely and accurate processing of records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Search, locate, retrieve, and deliver records or information through established procedures and delivery systems.
  • Verify the completeness and thoroughness of records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of the organization's approved retention schedule.
  • Comply with records security classification policy and procedures.
  • Protect records by monitoring environmental controls and following established procedures to control access.
  • Communicate and interact with customers to provide effective customer service.
  • Prepare documents for imaging.
  • Operate imaging and microfilm equipment to create quality-level document images and store electronic images in approved electronic information systems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Typical administrative experience ranging from 7–10 years.
  • Excellent skills in the use of MS-Outlook, Internet, word processing, and document conversion.
  • Experience in utilizing specialized computing applications for managing configuration control of documents and other records.
  • Experience in utilizing Records Management Systems.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
  • Ability to obtain a US Department of Energy (DOE) Q Clearance (required to start).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in establishing and successfully managing paper-based or electronic records systems, including a working knowledge of technical and nontechnical documentation standards.
  • Requires a US Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status (not required to start).

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position is a fully onsite position at Y-12.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
