POSITION SUMMARY:

The RN Health Center Administrator plays a crucial role in delivering both clinical and operational guidance for designated regional ambulatory health centers, aiming to provide optimal patient care in a cost-effective manner. This position supervises all personnel involved in primary care services and collaborates with various departments to fulfill organizational objectives. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring staff compliance with all policies and procedures while serving as a resource for both clinical and administrative functions. Additionally, this role directly oversees the quality of care through competency assessments and training under the direction of the Clinical Operations Director or other designated leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all clinical services at assigned health centers to guarantee a positive patient experience from registration to check-out.
  • Facilitate, assign, and participate in daily team huddles.
  • Oversee clinical orientation and continuous evaluation of Medical Assistant skills and competencies.
  • Work with central scheduling to review weekly assignments, ensuring appropriate staffing ratios.
  • Analyze clinic performance and assess results from quality reports, implementing corrective actions to meet or exceed performance standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to address identified training needs for clinical staff (MA/MOA).
  • Monitor daily productivity to ensure benchmarks for patients and providers are met.
  • Conduct daily audits of abnormal results and perform periodic chart audits to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Address patient, provider, and staff complaints promptly, either directly or through appropriate channels.
  • Regularly review audit and quality improvement activities, making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Deliver direct patient care as necessary.
  • Participate in the implementation of new services and procedures through huddles, demonstrations, and follow-ups.
  • Exhibit professional and ethical behavior consistently in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings at assigned health centers to plan and review agency policies, program requirements, and operational activities aimed at achieving quality benchmarks, patient satisfaction, productivity, and optimal performance.
  • Ensure completion of assigned clinical duties, including administrative tasks, patient cases, and other responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Current RN license in the State of Illinois.
  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of experience.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

Current RN license in good standing in the State of Illinois; CPR certification.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Documentation of experience in applying the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
  • Current driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Ability to work late evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Willingness to travel to and work at other clinics as required.
