Job Overview

Medix is seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and conduct vital sign checks, including temperature, blood pressure, and medication reconciliation.
  • Administer vaccines and injections, as well as perform EKGs as needed.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Manage in-basket messages and work in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including EPIC.

Requirements:

  • Must have a diploma from an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a specialty clinic, primary care, or urgent care environment.
  • EPIC experience is a plus.
