Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily classroom operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and staffing standards.
  • Create and execute lesson plans that cater to each child's unique needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Design a welcoming and inclusive classroom space that promotes exploration and positive play, helping children develop essential life skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals and demonstrate a commitment to the YMCA's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age, with an Associate degree, CDA, or equivalent required.
  • Possess current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Able to meet all state and local licensing requirements.
  • Prior experience working with children is a plus.
