PRIVATE BANKER
What is the Opportunity?
As a Private Banker, you will cultivate and oversee relationships with affluent individuals and families in a designated market. Your role will encompass delivering comprehensive financial services guidance, including banking, credit solutions, asset management, trust and estate planning, and brokerage services. You will be accountable for the profitability of client relationships and managing portfolio risks while driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish new connections through referrals from clients, community engagement, and collaboration with internal partners.
- Assess the diverse needs of high-net-worth clients and provide customized advice in partnership with the client team.
- Lead the CNB team in developing new business opportunities, including facilitating pre-brief and de-brief meetings.
- Identify further opportunities within existing client relationships and leverage resources to become the primary service provider.
- Oversee client relationships by guiding the client team in planning, service delivery, and regular client reviews.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding market conditions and necessary adjustments to their investment strategies.
- Evaluate clients' financial needs and adjust strategies based on their evolving circumstances.
- Ensure the implementation of relationship plans and collaborate with the Client Manager for presentation preparation.
- Confirm that clients' goals and risk tolerances are accurately reflected in their investment policies.
- Conduct regular, tailored investment reviews with clients to ensure alignment with their objectives.
- For colleagues with FINRA Licenses, review asset management and brokerage statements with clients and discuss market conditions and investment strategies.
- Stay informed about clients' financial situations and ensure they understand the solutions provided.
- Communicate promptly with clients and all relevant risk areas, particularly the Credit Team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years in asset management, banking/credit, personal trust, or brokerage services.
- At least 10 years of sales and relationship management experience in financial services, ideally with high-net-worth clients.
- Possession of FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 licenses.
- California Insurance License.
Skills and Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of products and services tailored for high-net-worth clients.
- Strong understanding of credit policies and banking operations.
- Proven sales and marketing capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to initiate and foster relationships with clients requiring comprehensive financial solutions.
- Contribute positively to collaboration with business lines and product partners to enhance growth.
- May partner with another CA to manage a revenue portfolio of up to $2 million.
- Typically holds a BA or MBA with around 8 years of experience in financial services.
- Possession of CFP, JD/LLM, CIMA, or Cannon Certified Wealth Strategist designations is advantageous.
- Preferred: FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 securities licenses and state insurance license.
Compensation: Starting base salary ranges from $127,626 to $237,014 annually, with variations based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
