The Cloud Security Architect holds a pivotal role in safeguarding our global network by implementing solutions designed to protect, detect, and respond to security threats.


A Day in the Role:
Assess critical technology areas for enhancement

Assist in the creation and deployment of cloud-focused tools aimed at risk identification and mitigation

Engage regularly with AI, cloud security, and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with established cloud security best practices

Take charge of data security efficiency, ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards

Monitor and evaluate security incidents utilizing cloud-native security tools and SIEM solutions.

Keys to Success:
Ensure that documentation and processes are clearly defined, making engineered solutions understandable and replicable.

Guarantee that solutions are robust, regularly backed up, tested for restoration, and consistently maintained for optimal performance.

Proactively engage and collaborate with business units to uphold our security posture.

Develop and sustain security documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures related to cloud security.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.

Certifications (optional but beneficial):
Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, CISSP, CCNA, CCSP, CCIE Security, or other security-related certifications.

Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills.

Experience

7+ years of systems administration experience

  • 5 years of cloud security operations experience in a large-scale organization
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in software or networking engineering
Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Deep understanding of building, managing, and securing AI solutions

Experience in implementing and managing security controls within cloud environments

Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001)

Strong organizational skills, capable of leading complex projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent comprehension of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services and infrastructure, with practical experience in deploying secure solutions.

Experience in conducting risk assessments and formulating risk mitigation strategies within a multi-cloud environment.

Strong knowledge of AI principles and tools, such as Azure AI.

Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.

Proficient problem-solving skills in both ambiguous and tactical situations with a proactive approach.

Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Commitment to excellence, high-quality standards, and meticulous attention to detail.

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
