Radiology Lead Technologist Job Description

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Lead Technologist to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for leading a team of technologists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of radiology technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and departmental operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for radiology services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental performance.
Requirements:
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in performing radiologic procedures as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
