We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Competently perform radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations.
- Process images, ensuring quality and accuracy, and label images with patient information.
- Assist physicians, work independently, and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Serve as a technical resource, role model, and preceptor for students and staff.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. The position requires standing, walking, lifting, and pushing/pulling with 30 lbs. of force. Personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
