Responsibilities:

As a Medical Technologist OR MLT, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing accurate and timely laboratory testing by analyzing proficiency testing samples according to instructions and complete within the allowable time frame
  • Assuming responsibility of the department as appropriate in the absence of the supervisor
  • Completing all required records/documentation pertaining to patient results
  • Performing stat procedures within established turnaround time targets
  • Demonstrating the ability to use good judgment and independent thinking in the correlation and interpretation of patient results
  • Reviewing pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolving any outstanding workload or communicating to staff relief
  • Performing quality control procedures per protocol and handling all problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A 2 Year/Associate Degree
  • A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred
  • ASCP certification (or equivalent) is preferred OR the ability to obtain a license during the first 6 months of employment
