Phlebotomy Specialist

As a Phlebotomy Specialist with Medix, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical laboratory. Your primary responsibility will be to collect patient samples via venipuncture or capillary collection, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and aseptic technique. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
Collect patient samples via venipuncture or capillary collection, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and aseptic technique.
Ensure quality phlebotomy service and positive patient experiences, both in person and over the phone.
Perform specimen processing, including centrifugation, transportation preparation, and paperwork.
Investigate and report patient safety incidents, medical errors, and potential risks, supporting corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:
1+ year of experience as a Phlebotomist
Phlebotomy Certification (NHA, AMT, ASCP, NPA)
High school diploma/GED
Comfortability traveling to other locations on an as needed basis
