Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Pricing Specialist will play a crucial role within the Marketing Programs team at Baltimore Aircoil Company. This position is responsible for leveraging analytical skills to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives. The role involves gathering and analyzing pricing and compensation data to provide insights that enhance management's understanding of sales performance, pricing effectiveness, and competitive positioning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a systematic approach to regularly assess and revise both Unit and Part pricing to ensure accuracy and optimize profitability.
  • Facilitate the implementation of price adjustments in relevant systems, ensuring thorough testing and effective communication with the sales team.
  • Develop and manage distinct pricing lists for key accounts, including OEM, Joint Venture, Licensee, and Intercompany clients.
  • Oversee the maintenance of currency exchange rates across all systems and ensure timely updates are communicated to the sales team.
  • Administer the commissions process to verify payment accuracy, manage manual overrides, and maintain up-to-date commission reports.
  • Maintain pricing approval frameworks to ensure requests are directed to appropriate management levels, participating in high-level approvals as necessary.
  • Initiate and execute programs that align with BAC's strategic goals, driving profitable growth across various channels and locations.
  • Collaborate effectively to gather business requirements, conduct thorough testing of prototype systems, and document processes for future reference and training.
  • Draft clear and concise technical specifications for software and process enhancements that contribute to business improvements and customer value.
  • Ensure accountability and efficient execution of pricing initiatives, developing impactful dashboards to track progress and address challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation within the sales and pricing processes, enabling stakeholders to operate more effectively.
  • Act as a liaison with IT to ensure business needs are prioritized and communicated effectively.
  • Contribute significantly to system implementations, including CRM, CPQ, and other relevant applications.
  • Maximize the value of business systems by ensuring proper utilization and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop key performance indicators for stakeholders to manage aspects such as sales volume, pricing, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, delegate, or perform tasks as appropriate to achieve objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, economics, statistics, mathematics).
  • 1-2 years of experience in business analytics within a B2B context.
  • Strong project management skills, with proficiency in MS O365 applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both business and technical audiences.
  • Proficient in data management, analysis, and visualization, with a knack for simplifying complex information.
  • Ability to interpret programming logic and flow.
  • Skilled in strategic and tactical planning and execution.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in consulting with internal clients to define project goals and methodologies.
  • Adept at multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of synthesizing and analyzing large datasets to address business inquiries.
  • Ability to contribute to management discussions and develop justifiable programs.
