Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team at Andersen. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the warehouse, coordinating the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of merchandise and materials, and maintaining stock records and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Manage the logistics of physical inventory according to established inventory systems, including organizing the warehouse for inventory.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Analyze installation schedules and job information to ensure site materials are available as required to meet schedules, monitor usage of stock items, and ensure stock levels are appropriate based on ongoing business needs.
  • Work Scheduling: Plan and schedule work activities of warehouse staff, document best practices, and provide daily work direction to supplemental staff when needed.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate the receiving, storing, and shipping of merchandise and materials, handle and protect inventory property to avoid physical damage, and secure warehouse contents against loss and/or damage.
  • Purchasing: Negotiate best prices for stock items, including volume discounts where appropriate, and submit purchase orders.
  • Special Item Management: Locate special/non-standard and long lead time items, negotiate best prices, and provide price and schedule information to sales representatives and coordinate installation schedulers.
  • Tool Management: Maintain stock of tools, blades, and other installation tools, monitor usage, and ensure tools and equipment are returned and in safe condition.
  • Waste Management: Coordinate, schedule, and manage all activities associated with the removal of construction waste.
  • Recycling Program: Implement and manage a recycling program.
  • Quality and Customer Satisfaction: Meet Renewal standards for quality and customer satisfaction, and meet internal commitments to co-workers' satisfaction.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment, and be able to research and resolve difficult situations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable accident and moving violation motor vehicle record.
  • Computer Skills: MS Office computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including listening, written, and verbal messages.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills in structuring work assignments, creating standard work procedures, and planning projects.
  • Inventory Management Experience: Proven ability to proactively manage inventory levels, with two years of warehouse experience.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Solid interpersonal skills, including customer orientation.
