Position Location: Any BGE, Inc. Office

BGE, Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Deltek Vantagepoint System Specialist to enhance our dynamic IT department. The primary responsibility of the Deltek System Specialist will be to ensure the effective utilization of our Deltek Vantagepoint ERP system. The ideal candidate will oversee system maintenance, which encompasses troubleshooting issues, applying necessary fixes, managing upgrades, configuring the system, testing new features, and ensuring that performance standards are consistently met. This role will be situated within the IT department and will collaborate closely with both Accounting and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize the Deltek Vantagepoint system (including user management, security settings, system updates, and workflow processes).
  • Monitor Vantagepoint updates and implement them internally at appropriate intervals.
  • Assist with the implementation of additional applications, key processes, integrations, and change management initiatives.
  • Continuously assess system performance and develop or maintain internal processes.
  • Conduct system process testing and quality assurance for implementations and enhancements.
  • Act as a vital support resource for the Accounting Team, bridging the gap between technical resources of Vantagepoint and accounting/reporting functions.
  • Serve as the liaison between the company and Deltek, along with related consultants.
  • Regularly collaborate with leadership across the firm's functional areas to explore optimal system utilization, provide recommendations for improvements, and discuss new release features.
  • Support end-users in their daily interactions with the system by addressing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Create workflows to ensure necessary functionalities within the system.
  • Develop tools for monitoring and tracking key performance indicators, including dashboards and reports.
  • Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Accounting.
  • Experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is preferred.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and self-driven.
  • Experience in data manipulation for imports and report generation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
