Role Summary:
The Premium Hub CoE Custom Code Management team is committed to providing advisory and architectural support during IT transformations. As a Principal Technology Consultant, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering Intelligent Custom Code Transformation Services aimed at assisting premium engagement customers in maintaining a clean core through the Intelligent Custom Code Management tool utilizing cluster technology.
  • Providing Custom Code Quality Improvement services and defining a quality governance strategy.
  • Enabling customers to adopt development best practices for SAP S/4HANA and development on BTP.
  • Identifying quality issues within custom code and offering recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Conducting Re-think-Redesign workshops to pinpoint modifications or enhancements that can be replaced or re-platformed using extensions.
  • Performing Platform Custom Code Impact Analysis to determine the custom code affected by data model simplifications introduced with SAP S/4HANA.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge in functional areas such as Finance and Logistics is advantageous. Familiarity with data transition and transformation tools like Data Transition Validation (DTV) and migration objects is beneficial. As part of a global team, you will collaborate closely with SAP Development to support strategic customer initiatives. Business travel is an essential aspect of this role.

Experience Requirements:
Candidates should possess:

  • Experience with ABAP programming, Restful ABAP programming, and ABAP CDS.
  • Knowledge of extensibility topics, including In-App and Side-by-Side Extensions on the Business Technology Platform.
  • Experience with tools such as ATC, SQLM, SCOV, Custom Code Migration App on BTP, and CCLM.
  • Understanding of modifications, enhancements, and ABAP workflows.
  • Expertise in defining quality governance standards for customers based on SAP S/4HANA development best practices.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA conversions and upgrades is a plus.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • The ability to lead and drive the clean core journey for large MaxAttention customers in the North American region.
  • Skills in defining KPIs to capture clean core metrics and evaluating the value derived during the clean core journey.
  • Innovative thinking to develop tools that facilitate simplified and automated service delivery to customers.
  • Proficiency in facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks or projects with shifting priorities.
  • A strong collaborative spirit and problem-solving abilities, along with good leadership and analytical skills.
  • A customer-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to coordinate global teams and various organizations towards a common objective.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering trust and respect among colleagues and management.
  • A demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead by example, and achieve outstanding results.

Compensation Transparency:
SAP is dedicated to pay transparency, providing a targeted salary range for this position of 150,000 to 190,900 USD. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including education, skills, experience, and role scope.
