Job Summary

The Estimator role is a critical component of our restoration company's success, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of commercial and insurance restoration industry principles. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate estimates in Xactimate, utilizing program guidelines and IICRC standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and scope jobs onsite, working closely with Project Managers, Crew Chiefs, and Lead Technicians to determine the scope of work.
  • Document losses with clear and descriptive job photos and upload them into our operating system/software.
  • Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software.
  • Communicate with project teams and stakeholders through the notes feature in required software.
  • Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage estimates based on feedback from clients and customers.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner, acting as a liaison.
  • Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks.
  • Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team.
  • Address estimate exceptions in a timely manner.

  • Must be able to move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, with lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching required.
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
  • Must be able to wear respirators, which are used in certain situations, and have them seal to your face.
  • Must be able to work in various inside and outside working conditions, including environments with or without air conditioning and heating.

Compensation

$40,000 to $55,000
