Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for piping projects, labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to generate accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Conduct take-offs and measurements of piping systems to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for projects.
  • Analyze and refine estimates as necessary based on project changes or additional information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in a construction-related field.
  • Proven experience as a Piping Estimator in the construction or mechanical industries.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of piping materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
