Job Overview:

The Production Assembler operates under moderate supervision, adhering to established written protocols and detailed verbal guidance. This role involves executing tasks necessary for the fabrication of various components and assembling these parts to a stage suitable for the subsequent operational phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 90%: Conduct surface preparation, apply protective coatings, insulate casings, manage casting processes, and operate pressure chambers. Additionally, perform various preparatory tasks essential to the manufacturing workflow.
  • 10%: Oversee documentation related to production activities and fulfill environmental responsibilities. This includes the collection, containment, and labeling of waste byproducts generated during manufacturing operations.
  • Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and availability to work alternate shifts and overtime as required to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain satellite accumulation areas in a safe and organized manner, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Hazardous Waste Control Technician to ensure the proper handling of non-energetic chemical wastes and energetic wastes.
  • Promptly report any spills of chemicals or process waters to the Environmental department.
  • In case of an emergency, implement the facility's Emergency Procedures/Contingency Plan.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Exhibit a strong awareness of personnel and equipment safety.
  • Qualified to use a respirator.
  • Primarily stationary position.
  • Operate forklifts as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of assembly experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of assembly experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Possession of an Arkansas Career Readiness Certificate-Silver Level is preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience is advantageous.
