Key Responsibilities:
As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and documentation of automated manufacturing systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with electrical and control systems, including PLCs, AC & DC motors, and servo drives.
  • Enhancing existing control systems to boost safety, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Creating comprehensive electrical automation designs based on engineering specifications, resulting in detailed construction packages for fabrication and assembly.
  • Utilizing CAD software, such as Dassault DraftSight, to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in mechanical engineering, quality assurance, safety, and IT to develop optimal solutions.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and logic diagrams.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Experience in troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of machine electrical design and industrial electronics.
  • Ability to select and specify appropriate field devices and sensors.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with technical teams and management.

Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment: This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin offers flexible work schedules, including a 4x10 hour workweek, allowing for three days off each week.
