ROLE OVERVIEW:
AWS Account Director, Strategic Accounts

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are in search of a seasoned and motivated AWS Account Director to join our team, focusing on strategic clientele.

This position is crucial for managing and expanding key accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring the effective delivery of AWS solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in cloud solutions, particularly AWS, along with a proven history of strategic account management.

This role encompasses both direct account management and acting as a sales subject matter expert.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
In this role, you will be expected to travel up to 25%. This is a remote position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Account Management:
Build and sustain deep, strategic relationships with key client stakeholders. Act as the primary contact and trusted advisor for strategic clients.

Sales Growth:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within strategic accounts. Develop and implement comprehensive account plans to meet revenue objectives.

Client Engagement:
Comprehend the business goals and challenges of strategic clients. Advocate for AWS solutions that align with client objectives.

Solution Delivery:
Collaborate with technical teams to guarantee the successful implementation and delivery of AWS solutions. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Market Insights:
Remain informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical experts, to craft tailored solutions and compelling proposals.

Reporting:
Monitor and report on account performance, sales metrics, and client satisfaction. Provide regular updates and strategic insights to senior management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Professional Services Sales:
A proven track record in selling professional services to address customer challenges.

Strategic Account Planning:
Leading and organizing strategic account planning among Cloud Service Providers and internal Presidio teams.

Solution Selling:
In-depth understanding of addressing business challenges using AWS solutions. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Industry Experience:
Demonstrated success in engaging with executives in industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Sports, Media & Entertainment, and State & Local Government.

AWS Co-Selling:
Familiarity with the AWS co-sell model and a proven record of success.

Sales Proficiency:
Proven success in achieving or surpassing sales targets within strategic accounts. Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.

Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Proven capability to build and maintain strong client relationships at a strategic level.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to devise innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Team Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across various departments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
7+ years of experience in strategic account management, sales, or business development within the AWS ecosystem.
