Role Summary:
We are looking for a proficient and seasoned Lead Engineer to become a vital member of our Engineering team, focusing on Crewed Air & Space initiatives. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering and acts as a crucial liaison between Engineering and Technology divisions. The Lead Engineer will guide the Solutions Director in formulating design strategies, convey these strategies to the Project Engineer, and ensure compliance throughout the program lifecycle by reviewing and approving requirements, designs, and tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical authority in relevant technology areas for assigned projects.
  • Generate analytical reports, alternative assessments, and identify gaps in tools and technologies that support customer missions.
  • Deliver technical updates and guidance to Project Engineering, senior leadership, clients, and partners.
  • Effectively communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discussions with government and primary contractor clients.
  • Advise Project Engineering on necessary technical competencies to fulfill program requirements.
  • Review and endorse technical contributions and deliverables.
  • Oversee and present technical content during Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and significant technical evaluations.
  • Assist Project Engineering in recognizing, evaluating, and mitigating technical risks.
  • Maintain the technical integrity of the program's technical baseline.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the effective application and transition of technology.
  • Research and assess emerging technologies pertinent to the area of expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for technology integration that align with program requirements.
  • Support the Solutions Director in establishing design methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to established design methodologies throughout program execution.
  • Enforce compliance with Engineering policies and procedures.
  • Engage with clients to comprehend their needs and expectations.
  • Align technical strategies across projects with client requirements.
  • Assist clients in planning and managing their capability initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to understand future needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Understand Parry Labs' technology roadmap and align product applications with client needs.
  • Provide input for Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that are feasible and competitive.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related STEM discipline, coupled with over 10 years of experience in defense or DOD sectors.
  • Proven experience in requirements development, integration, testing, and customer acceptance.
  • Expertise in integrating hardware and software systems in laboratory and field testing environments.
  • Experience in gathering requirements and formulating work estimates for proposals and projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including requirement analysis, CI/CD pipelines, Agile management, and test management tools.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance protocols.
  • Familiarity with Open Architecture Standards.
  • Experience with modeling methodologies.
  • Understanding of hardware and software interfaces.
  • Knowledge of network configuration standards.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety and airworthiness standards.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
