We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Scientist II to become a vital part of our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the suitability of specimens for testing based on established protocols.
  • Conduct both routine and intricate technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Exhibit the capability to make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of test results to enhance patient care.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures, while managing testing bench supplies effectively.
  • Assist in the processing of specimens as necessary.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent qualifications as per local regulatory requirements.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing is essential.
  • Experience in Blood Banking is mandatory.
  • Certification from ASCP or AMT is required.
