Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess the suitability of specimens for analysis based on established guidelines.
  2. Conduct both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  3. Oversee, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Exhibit the capability to make informed technical decisions related to testing and problem resolution.
  5. Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results to support quality patient care.
  6. Execute and document preventive maintenance and quality control protocols. Ensure adequate supply levels at testing stations.
  7. Assist in specimen processing as required.
  8. Maintain a safe laboratory environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  2. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing is essential.
  3. Experience in Blood Banking is mandatory.
  4. Certification from ASCP or AMT is required.
