Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team at Astrix Technology, the Medical Lab Scientist will play a crucial role in the healthcare sector. This position involves working in a laboratory environment where precision and accuracy are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the suitability of specimens for testing based on established guidelines.
  • Conduct both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to make informed technical decisions during testing.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures.
  • Manage the inventory of testing supplies and assist with specimen processing as required.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing is essential. Certification in Blood Banking from ASCP or AMT is required.
