Job SummaryThe Crisis Stabilization Family Peer Support Specialist will provide family-centered and evidence-based services to children and families experiencing a mental health crisis. This role requires a strong understanding of crisis intervention, family support, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities- Provide family peer support services to children and families in crisis
- Develop and implement individualized stabilization plans in collaboration with the treatment team
- Coordinate with paid and natural supports to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care transitions
- Current certification in Iowa as a Family Peer Support Specialist
- Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral or mental health services
- Preference given to those with experience in a crisis services setting
- Ability to work closely and cooperatively with the treatment team
- Competitive hourly rate ($15-18)
- Expert training in Crisis Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, and WRAP
- Supportive and flexible team working environment
