Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Family Support Specialist to join our Early Childhood Services team.

About the Role

As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing home visits to expectant parents and caregivers of small children, offering parenting education, support, and advocacy. You will link parents to resources, promote optimal child health and development, and problem-solve with parents to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide home visits to families, offering support and education on parenting and child development
  • Link families to community resources and services to promote optimal child health and development
  • Collaborate with parents to develop individualized support plans and empower them to achieve their goals
  • Participate in ongoing evaluation and assessment of family needs and abilities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a health, education, or human service-related field and one year of related experience working with children and families. Bilingual Spanish-English speaking is required to meet the needs of our clients.
