Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate mental health therapist to join our team. As a crisis mental health therapist, you will be responsible for assessing the mental health needs of our patients, providing crisis intervention services, and developing comprehensive care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, provide emotional support, and connect patients with community resources.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs, identify priority areas for intervention, and develop personalized care plans to address their unique needs.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide expert crisis intervention services, emotional support, and guidance to patients and their families to help them navigate challenging situations.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care, share information, and ensure seamless transitions.
- Community Resource Navigation: Connect patients with community resources, such as mental health services, support groups, and counseling, to help them access the care and support they need.
Requirements
- Education and Licensure: Master's degree in social work, professional counseling, or marriage and family therapy with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited institution. Licensure in Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin is required, with certification in a relevant area, such as CAPSW, LPC-IT, or MFT-IT.
- Experience: Proven experience in crisis mental health, emergency department, or integrated mental health clinic settings, with a strong understanding of mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and case management principles.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
