Position Overview:
The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering clinical assistance for a diverse range of medical device offerings through direct engagement with healthcare professionals, educational initiatives for medical personnel, and procedural guidance.

About the Division:
The Peripheral Intervention sector of Cook Medical is dedicated to innovative device technologies that cater to a wide array of cardiovascular needs, including the management of peripheral arterial disease and the prevention of pulmonary embolism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer clinical support during medical procedures.
  • Identify, cultivate, and nurture relationships with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to enhance support for the company's product lines.
  • Educate and inform clients through comprehensive training sessions, approved literature, instructional videos, and relevant articles.
  • Provide clinical insights to the Sales team, Product Development, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and other internal departments.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product lines, clinical procedures, business ethics, and other educational prerequisites.
  • Contribute to the annual business strategy to assist the sales team in achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Complete necessary administrative documentation, including expense reports and call reports.
  • Ensure consistent communication with the Regional Manager and other support functions.
  • Keep accurate and timely records and reports.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues across various levels of the global organization to meet company objectives.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Meet company standards for quality and productivity.
  • Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience that provides a comparable background.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically as needed, up to 70% of the time.
  • Must be physically capable of operating a motor vehicle regularly, possess a valid driver's license, and be in good standing to legally operate a vehicle.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds or more may be required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and utilize close visual acuity for tasks involving computers and equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and bending may be necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods may also be required.
