Job Responsibilities
  • Execute all responsibilities associated with the Construction Cost Analyst role
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements
  • Generate precise quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials
  • Coordinate subcontractor solicitations and site visits
  • Assess labor and equipment costs for construction
  • Develop conceptual estimates
  • Adhere to bidding and work schedules
  • Submit purchase requisitions for materials
  • Evaluate competitive trade bids
  • Review preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates with the Project Manager
  • Gather all bid documents including forms and quote letters
  • Create a subcontractor bid list and distribute drawings
  • Participate in bid compilation on the designated day
  • Assist jobsite personnel with estimates post-bid award
  • Conduct post-bid buyouts as necessary
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Supervise and mentor estimating staff if applicable
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
