Blood Specimen Collector

The Blood Specimen Collector is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
This role requires direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing daily activities accurately and on time
- Maintaining a safe and professional environment
- Collecting and processing forensic and clinical specimens
- Maintaining required records and organizational commitment
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and adult collections
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Shift/Time Zone: Monday-Friday, 8am-12pm
