Position Summary:
The Practical Nursing Specialist will support the Health and Wellness Director in the design, execution, and assessment of a comprehensive wellness program tailored to meet the needs of our students and align with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of the Health and Wellness Director.
- Ensure adherence to medical directives within the Wellness Center and oversee patient care as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and compile medical and dental documentation for students who have exited the program.
- Communicate with residential staff regarding patients who have been discharged.
- Keep a detailed log of all admissions and discharges.
- Compile various reports and logs, including wellness usage, medical examinations, and medication administration.
- Document all communications with on-call medical personnel.
- Administer prescribed medications.
- Assist with preliminary health assessments, sick calls, and general wellness care.
- Serve as the on-call nursing staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with performance management standards.
- Adhere to property control protocols for medical equipment.
- Stay updated on CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure timely and high-quality care.
- Work towards achieving performance management objectives.
- Follow established guidelines and protocols consistently.
- Promote and model appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training is required.
Education:

Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a current Vocational/Licensed Practical Nurse license from the State, a valid BLS/CPR certification, and a valid State Driver's License.
